Quenepas, Spanish limes, Genips

We finally harvested first batch of quenepas; they were soooo sweet and pulpy! What else can I say? I just love this time of the year…if it wasn’t because we are in hurricane season, I could almost guarantee weekly harvest. But, what if it is raining? nothing… nothing we can do. In order to take these tropical fruits off from the tree, someone will need to climb it. No can’t do. Too slippery and dangerous.

Again, it hasn’t stop raining. We will try to harvest again this coming Sunday 18th- Monday 19th. Hopefully the weather is clear this weekend. Will keep you updated-

Second to last shipment of Quenepas 2009?

As far as I know, I only have 2 last shipments still in season. A third one? unknown.

Deadline for placing orders for this week is tomorrow Oct 11th, 2009 by midnight. I just remembered this Monday is a Holiday (Columbus day) and post office will be closed.

I ship on a first come first placed orders and harvest for this week on schedule for Moday 11th.

Remember always….these are perishable fruits still on their trees. This is not a dry fruit I have in stock and if it raining it is impossible the harvest can not take effect.

Expected ship day for this week orders: Tuesday 13th.

After 3 weeks with no quenepas, we are harvesting at the moment – All orders will ship tomorrow morning (Tuesday).
It looks like there’s another tree available for next week. Let’s see how they taste…I’ll let you know within the next 48 hours.

Announcing the end of Quenepas season 2009

Hello,
I am sure you received my last newsletter today. If you didn’t, please check your unwanted mail folder. There I explain more deeply why your orders did not shipped.

For the last 2 weeks, I have not been able to communicate with you. Deep personal problems have called all my attention, but I am back again.

Rain has also been a big problem this year. I don’t have internet when is cloudy or raining. I get internet via Satellite.

I lost all the fruits of 2 trees I had to harvest because the fruits got spoiled due to excess rainfall. I still have one more tree for this Sunday harvest.

All new and old orders will be shipped on Oct 5th and 6th, should weather allow us to harvest or your payment refunded.

Please accept my deepest apologies for not been able to communicate with you. Today is the first day I sit in front of my computer and am trying very hard to put my life & business back on their feet. Please allow me at least 24 hours to reply all emails I am sure you sent me asking the whereabouts of your shipment.
