Quenepa fruit has a tight and thin but rigid layer of skin, traditionally cracked by the teeth. Below that is the tart, tangy yellow pulp of the fruit. Each fruit has a large seed inside
of about the same size of the outer skin, the same ovoid shape as the fruit itself. Quenepa seeds can be roasted and eaten just like sunflower seeds.
Oh yes! You can suck on one Quenepa for hours! —

*Hint: Traditionally, these fruits were not given to under
age children, because of the risk of swallowing the seed. Back in the old
days, parents used to split fruits in two before feeding them to their kids.
They too will enjoy the fresh taste of these fun-to-eat delicious fruits.

*Hint 2:
Wear old clothing when eating these
fruits….stains are permanent.

My Quenepa trees can not hold one more quenepa
flower! They are soooo sweet!

Shipping:

Quenepa trees bloom in hurricane season, summer time in Puerto

on harvest day. We harvest these fruits on Sundays for Monday shipping and Mondays for Tuesday shipping.
These trees are IMPOSIBLE to climb while is raining as they can be as tall

possible spoilage while the post office is closed on weekends. Last year we did pretty good shipping Quenepas
via Priority mail, we expect the same this year. But, Priority can take anywhere from 2-5 working days
to deliver. If your package takes more than 3 days in transit we will not be able to guarantee fresh fruit delivery.
Package weights are calculated with packaging materials included.
Sorry, but we can not ship to APO/FPO located outside USA
or any International Countries, due to customs regulations.

  7. Hi… I am interested in purchasing a few pounds once they become ready. My question is, how long do they last once they are picked from the tree?

    1. They can last up to 2 weeks if you wrap them in brown paper and place them in lower drawer (where vegetables go) in the refrigerator 🙂
